EXHIBITION OF CONTROVERSIAL ARTIST PATRICK FAURE DISCOVER ‘FAURISM’ A NEW ART CONCEPT.
ON THIS ONE NIGHT EVENT THE CHARACTERS OF HIS PAINTING ’’TEMPLE OF MARS AND THE AVENGER” WILL COME TO LIFE.
Controversial artist Patrick Faure who reshapes the art with his own movement “Faurism” is going to exhibit his new mind-blowing contemporary paintings with a live performance at Anemoi Gallery in Mayfair. At 6.30 pm on the 7th December the characters of his painting “The Temple of Mars”, will be brought to life by actors whilst the artist walks through the deeper meaning and philosophy of his painting.
His contemporary art form ‘Faurism’ refers to a visual art style that expresses the convergence of dreams, sexual desire, knowledge and erudition. Commonly mistaken with surrealism, his paintings hold myriad hidden messages and symbols which deal with the brutality of human consciousness and sub-consciousness. His paintings denounce the addiction of humankind for war, and their hunger for sexual gratification, money and power. In his paintings Patrick Faure challenges our values by juxtaposing war against peace, reality against utopia, mythology and history against present and future, and ignorance against knowledge.
The paintings are evocative, intelligent pieces which draw the viewer to examine art in the context of myth, philosophy and history. Meticulous eyes will discover inspiration and references from philosophers and writers such as Plato, Epictetus, Homer, Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre and Franz Kafka. His belief is that regardless how many civilisations are destroyed by the monetisation of human life, the obsession for power, and the egocentric selfishness of man, art will prevail and knowledge will be restored. Because without art and knowledge, there is no human race.
